being invisible has limited my activity here, so I've created a new account - @objetautre.com
help, I'm invisible?

I've had a few mutuals tell me they receive no notifications when I interact with their posts (likes, comments, etc). at least I understand why people don't write back. 🙃 I can't find any help on this issue. how do I address this? @bsky.app

Woo! I just hung up my very first art exhibit 😊

At some point I’ll have some sort of opening, but for now it’s a low key soft launch. Come and check out my prints, grab a coffee and try some amazing baked treats @ Batch Baking Company located in Seattle near Capitol Hill.

☺️ it’s 8 years married / 18 years together, if I count better :) No one would have noticed the mistake, I really wanted to correct it anyway ♥️♥️
it's our wedding anniversary! 7 years married, 17 years making a life together. & it's the best life I can imagine 🤍

Something so beautifully plaintive about the contents.
Evokes the near-far, bittersweet distance of childhood photos: rooms we’ll never enter again, relatives caught unguarded in domestic activity, long gone shops that once were sites of wonder to our small selves, autumnal Lucozade cellophane light

Save the date for the next free square dance: October 4 @ Ashfield Town Hall, 7-10pm.

After the last dance, one newbie wrote to me: 🌞"I don't think I stopped smiling the entire time."🌞 If you need a fun escape, creative release, and joyful contact with community - come on down!!

Our new exhibition is ‘How to read a book’ by @tothemadpoets.bsky.social, on show until Tues 4 Nov.
Concerned with language, writing, memory and offering alternative ways of approaching books and text. Alongside it are other works exploring what it is to be a book.

Resigning from being a person to turn into a numb mysterious ether.
Will simply become an achingly wistful quality of light, emit some gentle barely audible susurration & a scent so luscious, evocative & ambiguous that perfumers fire themselves in despair.
Gonna do so much intriguing shimmering bbz

An unexpected “like” surfaced this old reply … I recommend #hospicingmodernity as one of the most important books of our time. and I recommend #storygraph to track reading in a way that’s social but not too social 😊

From yesterday’s walk, a photo for a lovely site that creates space for crowd-sourced time-lapses of natural areas. The results are fun to watch and to be part of - check out one near to (or far from) you …

If instantaneous transit / #StarTrek #teleportation ever DID become possible I think everyone would drive themselves mad thinking that the ‘next’ beach etc might be that little bit nicer… we’d be even less psychologically comfortable in our spaces than we are now.
