So here is probably what is going to be an ongoing biography of my chaos.

My practice is civil mediation and arbitration. I handle cases ranging from personal injury through complex commercial litigation.

I arbitrate for FINRA and AAA and others and I am a FCIArb.

I always trust the Republicans to do exactly but they say they’re going to do.

And I never trust the Democrats to do what needs to be done.
Jeffries: "These Republicans have tried to repeal the ACA more than 70 different times. They're not acting in good faith in dealing w/healthcare crisis they're visiting on the American people. This is the same group who just enacted the largest cut to Medicaid in history in their big ugly bill."

Because doctors have been taught to ignore women when we talk about pain.
This researcher is exploring both the biology of endometriosis and why it’s so difficult for people to get diagnosed. For her, it’s personal: She happens to have the condition.
Endometriosis Is Common. Why Is Getting Diagnosed So Hard?
A scientist diagnosed with endometriosis is working to answer fundamental questions about the disease and pave the way for better treatments.

As a self proclaimed master negotiator, he should be aware that he has to bring something to the table for the other side to want to engage with him.
Canadian multimillionaire and Shark Tank guy Kevin O'Leary went on TV to say he's upset Zohran won't talk to him: "I and others who invest in real estate have tried to get a meeting to figure out what's rhetoric and what's policy. So far for me it's been crickets."

Me, trying to mentally process Vermont and Alabama being in the same sentence…
Also as I understand it the Reagan ad was run by Ontario Province, not by Canada’s federal government or privy council or whatever. Imagine if countries cut off trade with us because of shit Alabama or Vermont did.

The key to good legal writing is clarity. Exceptional clarity persuades. Unclarity sows doubt.

Not key? Originality. Humor. Cleverness. A distinctive voice. Torrents of peripheral legal authority. Demonstrations of opposing counsel’s stupidity and bad faith.

Edit for clarity.

Two weeks ago, Paxton's office won a SCOTUS case upholding Texas's law requiring age verification for porn sites.

I would be so happy if his wife caught him because he had to use a credit card to prove he was a big enough boy to watch "un-biblical" videos.

Please, God, let me have this one.

There’s a subreddit of people digging through county commissioner meeting transcripts and showing when decisions were made. I think it’s worth a read.

I have not verified this information myself, but some of it has also appeared in a Chron news article today.

I have been brutalizing people for making this event - which even if the weather service had not been disabled likely unavoidable due to the speed of the water wall - into a punishment.

I am deleting and blocking across all social media.

Because bombing somebody and then saying “no backsies” has always been a successful strategy…
So…

People seem to think that we’re just done now? We bombed the shit out of three nuclear sites in a country we weren’t at war with, and that’s just… it?

Oh, my sweet summer children.

The man is an absolute prat. An actual caricature.
Most of the news is horrifying and this story from Bourton-on-the-Water is no exception. Brace yourselves: a family of eight arrived for a picnic to find that… other people were also having picnics 😱 www.gloucestershirelive.co.uk/whats-on/wha...

This evening one of the very kind con organizers took us to the Vigeland Sculpture Park in Oslo, which is amazing and you should go and Gustav Vigeland was extraordinarily talented and probably does not deserve the narrative I constructed looking at his work.

But Bluesky! You deserve EVERYTHING!

I'm starting a thread with the legal profession's response to President Trump's attacks on it. Please feel free to add any that I miss.

I'll start with Perkins Coie's response. They have created an entire website so that we can follow along. 1/

Perkins Coie’s response to the unlawful Executive Order targeting the firm
The order violates core constitutional protections, including the rights to free speech and due process, and undermines all clients’ right to select counsel of their choice.

Because CEOs work for the shareholders. As long as the CEOs are generating the returns for them, they consider it money well spent.

Workers are an expense. CEOs are a profit multiplier.
CEO pay is up 1,085% since 1978, while typical worker pay is up just 24%.

Why do we always hear "we can't afford to pay our workers more" but never "we can't afford to pay our CEO more"?

As an arbitrator, I have to disclose personal relationships that may pertain to the matter at hand.

I do not get “personal time.”
REPORTER: On the president's dinner tonight, will the White House commit to making a list of the attendees public so people can see who's paying for that kind of access to the president?

And should the current president be diagnosed with a catastrophic health condition, I expect everyone on the left to not emulate this example.

And I also know I will be deeply disappointed.
Today is unfortunately a good reminder of just how depraved many Trump supporters are. It should be the easiest thing in the world to just wish someone well in light of a devastating health diagnosis. That they can't even meet that very low bar says a lot about their character.
