This is me. Waiting for that one pitch / demo where someone is going to talk about Apple’s research paper, “The Illusion of Thinking” as if it wasn’t a marketing move 🙈

Research shows LLMs lean towards Western, Protestantism values.
This played out IRL today: I asked for graphics for a Canadian city and an Indian city with the same prompts.
Canadian image took 1 prompt and 1 tweak. Indian image took a 30mins conversation to prevent it from showing stereotypes 🙈

Ideas are great, but they’re also cheap.
9/10 times it’s what you do in executing the idea and putting it into scalable operations that matters

Some times when I make a recommendation and cite an example, I get the feedback of “Well, XYZ has been doing this for a while”
Well, yeah. Stuff takes time.
But just because someone has been doing something for a while, that doesn't mean you should not do anything in this moment 😕

Just looked at my husband dead in the eye and said “I’m going to talk to Mochi. Don't get creeped out”
Mochi is my AI agent.
Apparently I'm change managing my own household to get used to AI 🙈

When the consulting business is under threat from AI closing the gap on knowledge arbitrage, the answer should never be: let’s create more new frameworks at a faster pace.

Trying to build my twin in an AI agent form has made me realize that I am TERRIBLE at content organization/cataloging because I’ve been doing the digital equivalent of this all week 🙈
Someone pls save me from me.

Unpopular opinion: if I see one more demo of an HR chatbot calling itself an AI agent, I may actually be sick 🤢
I mean, if we’re not going to get creative with the tech, can we at least spend more effort on UI, demos, and marketing?
Or at least a differentiated sales pitch?

💀 moment of the day: realizing you haven’t responded to LinkedIn messages from 4 months ago, and trying not to make it awkward when you get back to people l.

My ChatGPT just proposed an idea and told me that it “…would slap”

Did your AI tool make a bad decision? Or did it just reflect a bad system, filled with historical biases, and mirrored that system right back at you?
When we ask if AI is ethical, are we not in fact asking if our past decisions and judgements (used as training data) are ethical?

This may be hard for some vendors to hear: before you ask “why did the other vendor/competitor get the deal?!” next time, ask yourself: what did they do that I haven’t done?
Your buyers are smart. Deals are not won bc of what you said in the room, what you do outside that room also counts.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but if you’re concerned about using or getting started with AI, try the Touch Up My Appearance function in Teams, Zoom or any video platforms.
Yes, that is AI.
Yes, AI makes the bags under my eyes disappear.
Yes, I do consider that AI for good 😉

People ask me why I make my content public and not behind a paywall. I do it
…because I know my content is being used in LLM training datasets.
…because to ensure diversity in AI, we need to provide diversity to AI.
…because as women in tech, we can’t have representation without participation

Sometimes I hang out in general HR forums just to make sure I don’t live in my own echo chamber.
It still baffles me how many HR practitioners are doing the “I need an HR system; what do you recommend?” without thinking through what functionalities they actually need vs want.

So, go ahead and ask that awkward question. You know most people in the room are thinking about it.

Something I’ve learned over the years is to never make a definitive statement about an observation/subjective opinion.
There is always more than what meets the eye and there’s always more in the works that you’re not seeing.

About this whole thing of “AI making HR more strategic”…has anyone asked if #HR professionals have been given the tools and skillsets they needed to be strategic after we kick off #AI initiatives?
Otherwise, this sounds a lot more like a “replace HR with AI” conversation.
