Today I learned that you should really never buy an appliance from Best Buy. We got lucky with the refrigerator a few months back and needed a new dishwasher. It’s currently sitting in my kitchen with exploded wiring because these guys have never seen wiring from 1996 before. Ugh. I need strength!

Am I getting an early start on Christmas decor this year? Yes. Yes I am. Did my neighbor just yell at me for doing so, and also complained about how I outdo him every year? Yes. Yes he did.

I decided to upgrade my Free Company house in Final Fantasy XIV to a medium plot from a small. Lots of room, but now I have no idea how to decorate it. At least the stripper pole is already a hit though.

I just tried the weekend play test for a game called Monsters and Memories. It’s super old school, like the original EverQuest and I am already in love with it. Can’t wait for it to release early next year.

We just got back from seeing Nine Inch Nails in Ft. Worth. Damn they put on an amazing show. I think Rayden had a lot of fun.

So my little adventure in Final Fantasy XIV is turning out to be a blast. I’m learning all the ways you can walk to all of the zones, or take boats/airships. I kind of wish there were actual boat/airship rides though, but this is still a lot of fun. I am seeing so much of Eorzea now.

Well, after three months of delays and troubles, the back yard patio project is complete. Here is the before and after.
Not shown in the before and after was the new roof I had to get thanks to a storm that rolled through. This house is getting lots of love right now.

I tried to brush Shinji last night. He was not having it, but I did manage to get a lot of his undercoat removed at least. Now my patio is covered in Shinji fur!

I think the kid is enjoying hanging out with us in Final Fantasy XIV. We chatted in my house for a bit and then all ran around helping him do his MSQ. He even got to ride around in style.

Tonight I introduced the kid to some friends in Final Fantasy XIV. As a result he got to see what real gameplay is. Sitting around doing emotes and /GPose is obviously the only true gameplay right?
