I like it when Paul Thomas Anderson is very clear about the content of his films.

Q: Can I expect to see any blood in this picture?
A: THERE WILL BE BLOOD

Q: Does your new film feature any battles? And if so, to what frequency?
A: ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER

De rigeueur shot of me on the bridge at @startrektour.bsky.social in Ticonderoga. Another experience off the bucket list. It really is marvelous what they have done to preserve important pop culture heritage. Everyone was nice. Ask for Tim to give your tour. He's a good kid.

If you sort through the many many amateur STAR TREK fanzines of the 1970s, you’ll notice they are overwhelmingly edited and written by women.

Just thinking about that incredible town car tracking shot in WIDOWS. Thank goodness Steve McQueen saw the value in what some might mislabel as “shoe leather.” The neighborhood disparity anchors the story, in addition to the character-forward dialogue. Perfection.

I feel like the Rams go WR here. Both of the Iowa State guys are gone but Elic Ayomanor is sitting there. Jack Sawyer would be a fun addition to the DL too.
