Severe Solar Storm Hurtling Toward Earth Means Chicago Could See Northern Lights This Week
The national Space Weather Prediction Center has issued a "severe" alert as solar particles speed toward Earth. The geomagnetic activity could produce auroras visible as far south as Alabama.
