We loudly applaud Veterans Minister Alistair Carns and 3 other ex Special Forces colleagues for their record-breaking ascent of Everest, and for raising money for bereaved children. Mr Carns has turned down the Chinook Justice Campaign's request for a meeting, and denied us a public inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the crash 31 years ago - although the files have been locked away for 100 years. Who is being protected?

Lawyers for the families of 29 military and civilian intelligence specialists who were killed when an RAF Chinook helicopter crashed on the Mull of Kintyre in 1994 have said they will “consider all legal options” to find out how their relatives died.
