This is an early 1960’s Silvertone 1423 Jupiter made by Harmony of Chicago. The Jupiter 1423 is the top of Harmony’s Stratotone line. The body style is similar to a Les Paul. It has DeArmond pickups, beautiful mother-of-pearl block inlays on the neck, a black finish speckled with rich gold color and the “Blender” control which regulates the bass and treble pickups. The fast action feels good on the fingers. This guitar features a set list on its back from perhaps a rocking gig in its long and interesting history. Listen to the stories this guitar can tell you with its sweet tone. Other than some very little wear on top of the headstock, this guitar looks really good, plays beautifully and sounds excellent. This is a hollowbody, single cutaway, two pickup, Airline Stratotone electric guitar made by Harmony of Chicago, IL, USA in 1964. The guitar features a cherry redburst finish, a curly Maple body, two white plastic pickguards on either side of the string play area, white celluoid binding on the body and neck, two chrome DeArmond single coil pickups with white diamond shaped cutouts, four black plastic knobs, a white plastic four-way selector, a trapeze style metal tailpiece, an adjustable rosewood bridge, one black plastic strap pin on top and one white plastic strap pin on the bottom. Overall, the guitar is very clean and in great shape. The neck is straight and everything works properly. This very lightweight guitar is completely original. Description from VintageSilvertones.com

Gibson/Alembic 12-string
Here's a 12-string that Alembic customized for David Crosby. It started out as a Gibson Crest 6-string (imagine an ES-335, but totally hollow, short-scale, and made out of rosewood). He took it to Alembic in 1970, and Rick Turner did some magic to it. Rick wired up two humbuckers and hooked them to an onboard preamp so they can output in mono or stereo. It looks like there are two volume and two tone controls, but one of the volume controls has been moved to the lower horn where the switch would normally be. The coolest thing about this guitar is that Rick wired in some red LEDs on the side of the neck for fret position markers. That's most likely the first time anybody had done that. (It was 1970, after all.)

Guyatone LG-880 Marroly
The Guyatone LG-880 Marroly is an evolution of their earlier LG-50 model, and was originally developed for Rory Gallagher. It's got a roughly Les Paul shaped body, but a wider cutaway. There are two single-coil pickups, and each one has their own volume control to go along with a master tone control and a 3-way switch.

NS Design SCT6 FIN
The NS Design SCT6 FIN is the latest design from Ned Steinberger. It's got the same basic design as one of this older guitars, but has fanned frets and is made out of carbon fiber. It's got three passive humbuckers that are under a large cover. There's a volume knob (push/pull to turn the preamp on), a tone knob (push/pull coil tap), what I think is another knob to control the preamp, and a 5-way blade switch. It's also got a fold-out leg rest if you want to play it sitting down.

Gretsch BST-1500 Beast
The Gretsch BST-1500 Beast (or model 8217, if you go by the old Gretsch model numbers) is a solid-body electric with a single cutaway and a large black pickguard. It's got two humbuckers, one volume and one tone control, and a 3-way switch. It also has a Strat-style hardtail bridge. The weirdest thing about this guitar is the headstock logo is printed sideways instead of along the top of the headstock. This model only lasted from 1978 to 1981. One of my coworkers got one for Christmas back in 1980.

Silvertone 1429L - 3 pickup, tobaccoburst finish guitar. This is a 1959, Silvertone, thinline, hollow body, electric, guitar made by Harmony of Chicago. It's has a shaded walnut/tobaccoburst finish with three hot, DeArmond pickups. It's a single cutaway with double binding. The guitar is 100% original. The guitar is just incredibly beautiful. It has some minor wear, scratches, a few nicks on the headstock and playing wear on the back of the neck. Description from VintageSilvertones.com The pickups are very strong with individual on/off switches to allow for many combinations of tone. The neck position is full with just a slight edge, the middle is loud, full and bitting, and the bridge pickup is twangy and surf sounding. This guitar has a range that will work for pretty much any style you like on top of that you'll look killer playing it!!! The bolt-on neck is a really nice size; not too thick or thin in any direction with 20 frets. It has mother-of-pearl fret markers. The neck is straight and all the electronics work properly. Eff gear4music's broken SG's. I bought a guitar I've wanted since 2013 (after selling mine like an idiot) an Epiphone Nighthawk Custom Reissue. Second hand from ebay and in better condition than g4ms "new" guitars. It arrived today.
