Grossly incompetent. Loves languages while knowing none (中文, Türkçe, BCS). Star Trek FoD. Respect and protect trans people already. From Seattle, lives in the Balkans (which is in Europe). She/they
Anyway I've been back on my museum business and I have some good Skeleton Sunday material here

Some people say that winter is Russia's greatest defense, but actually it's verbs of motion

I made Halloween cookies, and I'm sorry about the bat. Shoulda left it naked

Felt like making a bunch of pumpkin stickers, not sure what I'll do with them!

The funniest ending of the Louvre heist would be if the jewels ended up in some Asian or African or Greek or Turkish museum and they just refused to return them

Got woken up by a European Robin singing outside in the middle of the night. Wikipedia says they do hunt bugs at night under artificial light sometimes. Lil guy just wanted a midnight snack i guess!

They just took the east wing to live with a nice farm family

If the holodeck is a big replicator then surely someone wrote a program that just suspends you in wall to wall marzipan and you have to eat your way out
October 19, 2025 at 9:46 PM
In my head, the food cubes are marzipan
#StarTrekTOS' "Court Martial" really has it all when it comes to colourful food cubes on the show: At the M-11 Starbase Club on Starbase 11, several people are seen eating green, orange and red food cubes on small cocktail sticks - who needs grape and cheese? ;-)

This is the second time I've gone to Vraca Park and a random animal insisted on giving me a guided tour. First time was a golden retriever. Amazing hospitality really

Well I'm officially a Linux person now, since I didn't want to switch to 11. Not feeling any compulsion to go back to Mastodon though so I think I'm okay, insufferability-wise

"After a late breakfast, I figured a late lunch would be fashionable." Absolutely, ma'am. Bless this real one.

Happy Monday from Sarajevo!

It's that time of year where all my Politics Guys turn into Football Guys for a while. Just gotta wait it out, they'll be back

One of the nice things about Bosnia is that there are zero cybertrucks
September 7, 2025 at 8:57 PM
If i wake up in the middle of the night i get to see all the posting happening live, and that's pretty exciting

Fall vibes are incoming, took the duvet out of summer storage. Also woke up to dollar crashing vs the euro yet again. I'm going to get a consolation pumpkin.

The last day of Sarajevo Film Fest is a huge party, so ofc i went to a sparsely attended Brazilian dystopian movie at a screen far from the party. The Blue Trail is about a future where the Brazilian govt puts the elderly into camps because they interfere with economic productivity

Second to last movie of Sarajevo Film Festival: Blum. What a movie for our times. Yugoslavia built up so much on worker-managed enterprise, and fascism brought it down so quickly. I really recommend this one.
August 21, 2025 at 9:08 PM
Another sports movie at SFF: the Track, a doc about the bobsled track above Sarajevo and the young athletes still training there. It's my favorite place to take visitors that they hate to go to, so it was great to watch a movie about it.

I'm late but Sarajevo Film Festival is on! The Lost Dream Team, about Yugoslavia's last national basketball team playing at the 91 Eurobasket as their country fell apart, was fantastic. The players didn't consider themselves political, and many didn't believe there could be war, but war came anyway

I eat pumpkin seeds with the shell, which i thought was normal but apparently makes me some kind of weirdo freak in Turkiye
BlueSky: tell me your food crimes

for example, I eat string cheese by just biting right into the stick
