About half of what it was going to cost to fully fund SNAP in November during the shutdown.

I think I’m gonna be sick. Every day we sink lower and lower into the darkest depths of depravity. No one with even the slightest bit of a conscience can watch this and not be horrified. If you support this you are a psychopath. There’s no debate. This is psychopathic behavior plain and simple.
ICE grabs father by the neck—send him into violent seizure while his arms lock up around his toddler.

"He's having seizure and they're trying to rip the baby out of his hands!"

Agents then handcuff him—before putting in ambulance with his child.

Mother is detained by agents as target of arrest.

BREAKING: Plaintiffs must now be referred to by their biological descriptor, "asshole," because to call them otherwise would convey a falsehood.
BREAKING: The Sixth Circuit, in a 10-7 en banc decision, holds that an Ohio school district's anti-bullying policy that requires students to use children's preferred pronouns is likely unconstitutional on these facts.

Judge Murphy, a Trump appointee, writes the court's decision.

Greetings from beautiful New Mexico, where 21% of our population--mostly children, seniors, and disabled folks--rely on SNAP for basic food needs. Unless you would look a 5 year-old or an 85 year-old in the face and say they should starve, lean on your Members of Congress to fund SNAP.

So we're just disappearing folks who protest.

Every Friday for the past 19 years, a group of Catholics has prayed the rosary outside an ICE detention facility in Illinois, having largely cordial interactions with the agents. But ICE’s demeanor began to change earlier this year, then shifted dramatically roughly two months ago.

NEW: There’s a disaster unfolding in Alaska right now. And no major network is covering it.

The remnants of Typhoon Halong battered western Alaska overnight. Homes, with people in them, have literally been swept into the Bering Strait.

At least 20 are missing. No comment from any federal agency.

We at ANTIFA have reviewed all evidence, eye-witness accounts and legal documents pertaining to the United States' Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.

This GOP move does several things:
+ No votes in the House until at least October 14
+ No swearing-in for Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva D-AZ
+ No 218th signature from Grijalva on the Epstein Files discharge petition
+ Continues the House 'jam' of the Senate on the CR
🚨🚨The House reading clerk just read a letter from House Speaker Mike Johnson where he declares a 'District Work Period' from October 7 to October 13.

That would mean no votes in the House until mid-month.

Among all of the terrifying examples of our emerging authoritarian state, this one is particularly terrifying. A journalist was legally authorized to remain in the US and work. BIA reopened his case and allowed him to be deported--all because he reported on ICE detention practices.

ICE had made only 85 arrests in Washington from Jan. 20 through the end of July. But from early August until mid-September, ICE made around 1,200 arrests, according to officials with knowledge of the data.

We detail how that happened:

Serious question: has the Fed govt ever arrested so many elected officials in such a short period of time, across multiple cities, and not for legit corruption reasons?

This seems like a distinct degree of anti-democratic escalation.
ICE just blatantly violated the law and arrested sitting Chicago Alderperson Jessie Fuentes while seeking to illegally arrest a patient in a hospital. Fuck these fascists.
