It's a great cosmic joke that neurodivergence both runs in families and gets diagnosed based on parent reports. I was diagnosed at 30 because a man who has eaten potatoes every day for 57 years and a woman who collects loose buttons decided I was a perfectly normal child.

Life is like watercolour. A tiny imperfection can seem huge. Many can be fixed with care but rushing in without thought will make them worse. Often you should embrace them instead. Often they are only noticeable if you draw attention to them. Most of them don't matter. One day I'll learn this.
