It may take until we are very old and grey but there WILL be reparations for this shit. We have to spend the rest of our lives demanding it.
My constituent, Wilmer, was mauled by an ICE attack dog despite the fact that, as he has consistently explained, he was not resisting arrest or trying to flee—his wife and young children, all U.S. citizens, were forced to watch helplessly as Wilmer was violently attacked and dragged away.

A cool thing about living in Pullman is that there’s an excellent vet med school here. So Beetle’s first adoption applicant is a vet student! Fingers crossed.

Because the algorithm knows I foster dogs, I get constant alerts on FB for dogs needing rescue. The ones for dogs left behind after ICE raids are getting more and more common. I know there are a million things to be infuriated and sad about right now, but those ones especially just break me.

On the day that @opb.org CEO Rachel Smolkin posted this video, saying OPB’s funding gap of $5 million was closed, I was also told by the Chief Content Officer that Hush was canceled. Eighty percent of my income, and my health insurance - gone. I was given no reason for the cancellation. 1/x

GLP-1s and Thanksgiving are not a great combination. But the situation has further reinforced my view that dessert belongs in the morning after. I enjoy it so much more when I’m not stuffed from dinner.

Guess who got his first walk on the beach today? You’d never know he had a major surgery a week ago. And, unlike some dogs I know, he did not growl at any children of guests during our dinner party.
