‼️The UK has made it near impossible for refugees to become citizens‼️

If a refugee arrived via lorry or boat, they will likely be refused citizenship for using 'illegal' routes.

Yet intl law is clear: the way a refugee enters a country should not impact their claim.

Shame on the UK government.

‼️ The new Border Security, Asylum and Immigration Bill will only 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 the danger faced by people seeking safety in the UK.

Using 'counter terror-style powers' to stop boats crossing plays into far-right rhetoric which criminalises asylum-seekers & refugees.

We need safe routes, not this Bill ‼️

We are celebrating the fall of dictator Assad alongside our Syrian friends, participants and supporters 🙌

We hope to see a Syria governed by the people, and for the people, and we urge minimal outside interference with the process as this has proved over history to be counter-productive 🤝
