Day 792. It's hard to believe, but there's only 1 single (deceased) hostage left to return. His family decided that instead of continuing the Saturday night rallies, they prefer to switch to kabbalat shabbat gatherings at the square on Friday afternoons, so here I am, home on a Saturday night.

Meanwhile, tonight is the 30th anniversary of the assassination that changed the course of this country's history, which is always a depressing day of the year, but I am curious - I was 10yo, and of course for me it's a pivotal memory, just like a "where were you when JFK was shot" moment etc.

It's 3:25AM and I'm finding myself stressed at the prospect of sleep. Two years ago October 6th was a holiday evening; the 7th was supposed to be a chill, lazy holiday morning. This year the 6th was a holiday eve as well, though a different one, and the 7th is both a holiday and a memorial >
