Sorry to all the other Ron Hecks, this account is mine.
If they had called NFTs something more innocent sounding, like cookies, we would have just accepted them.

I dunno man the concept of actually owning something you pay for must be like a drug if you're under 30

For years I have tried to find *The* Ray Bradbury Book and while good, none have really scratched the itch like The Golden Apples of the Sun story collection. Every banger I remember from English class and a few other great ones I have never heard of. A small amount of nonstarters that dont matter.

Watched the "new" Beatles Anthology episode and it looks a lot like they reformatted, degrained, and edited together the DVD bonus features with a brief mention of "Now and Then." I am very much a Paul guy, but reminder that George had far and away the best Beatle solo career.

Even as a Millennial TurboLiberal for whom this website is made I have to admit I get pretty tired of reading about one trillion problems I neither understand nor can solve. "THOUSANDS of octopi are dying off the coast of Madagascar" alright I'm not in charge of that. That's not my job.

I was imagining awkwardly bootlegging movies with a Vision Pro, but this is much more fun (and legal)
Today we release the greatest immersive experience ever created in the history of comedy or cinema on the Theater app for Vision Pro.

My friend @billcorbett.bsky.social and his friends Michael, Kevin and Jean-Claude present “Timecop” live in front of an audience, in immersive 3D. The future is now.

Me too. See also: "Look at this screenshot from twitter! Read this NYT gift article!" No thanks.
Another year and my Spotify Wrapped is zero songs. I will not have Spotify on my devices.

There better be a scene at the end where the killer explains his grand scheme and ends his speech with "Say goodnight, Gracie."

On occasion, I have thought I'll never enjoy a new release big budget video game ever again, then Ghost of Yotei comes along and my little Grinch heart grows three sizes.

The thing about AI anime dubs and AI Actor Tilly Norwood and AI music is just the fucking disrespect, this is what your industry thinks can replace you and it’s not even good. It’s not even a thing you look at with dread at how the computer has replaced Man, it just sucks ass lol it just blows

It is gratifying that my wife's favorite streamer is now suffering through Tomb Raider 1 in many of the same ways I was.

Sometimes I feel like an old fuddy duddy watching old Siskel and Ebert shows on youtube. Then an episode comes along where Siskel brings out a literal skunk for the "stinker of the week" and Ebert cites "The Drifters and The Coasters" as examples of better music to be used in an 80s teen comedy.

Started Chicken Run: Eggstraction, seemingly a co-op game. Incredibly wordy instructions and tons of items/unlockables making a simple game seem impenetrably complicated. Production value is shockingly high.

Started Syberia: Remastered. Doesn't seem to have the same TLC that Amerzone received (some un-remastered FMV, possible AI text transcription). Graphics are gorgeous. Puzzles are easy, the challenge is actually navigation. Not seeing where I can and can't go has slowed me down a few times.

In a ranking of Star Wars films, Governor JB Pritzker listed The Rise of Skywalker as the worst one, so yes, he pretty much has my support if he runs for President.

Started Pacific Drive. Was making steady story progress, then decided to scavenge to upgrade and failed three times in a row, completely wasting about two hours. Hint screen said "Don't get discouraged!" I am. I am discouraged.

once I got a bit excited by thinking I was chatting to someone who'd actually played the 2001 budget game goat Deadly Dozen until they said "I watched some gameplay and I'm sorry but I can tell it's bad" and I lost a part of me that day that I'll never get back
My even more unpopular opinion is unless you have personally experienced the thing, you should probably refrain from having an opinion on it.

We need to return to shaming people for parroting YouTube/TikTok with stuff like "When I want your opinion, I'll just find the YouTuber who gave it to you."

Was going to buy Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door after years of being told it was great, but after RPG and Paper Mario 1, it feels like pure obligation. I kinda liked Super Paper Mario, the other two are so boring.

Every junk food youtuber I follow is like "Today we're making deep fried flamin' hot cheeto dip. Now, I haven't had a cheeto since I was 8. *crunch, crunch* Wow, just like I remember last time I had them (25 years ago). Yep, not once since then!"
