Not sure how to reflect on that Ireland game. So much good, but sloppiness and unforced errors, too. Tidied it up well in the second half. Good enough in the end! Bigger tests ahead!

Of course it was a monumental moment but then you dropped the needle on Momma Miss America or Ooh You or Instant Karma or Motown Chartbusters Vol 3 or Soft Machine 4 or 21st Century Schizoid Man and got on with your life not feeling the least bit bereft. I'm not being glib.

Strange game last night. Ireland seemed well in control for much of it but lost heavily enough in the end. At the end of the day, don’t think it’s a good idea to have the All Blacks as the first game of the season! #IrelandvNewZealand

Further proof (if needed) that most in power have dehumanised Palestinians to the point that their deaths are seen as an inconsequential inevitability. The depth of the racism from the centre to the far right on this is only hard to fathom if you forget the Iraq wars - esp Amiriyah Shelter Bombing

Peace is welcome, long overdue and it’s fantastic the hostages are being released. But seeing the utter devastation left in Gaza, it’s hard to comprehend that any sane person could justify that. It must never happen again!

I found that Ozzy and Sharon documentary incredibly poignant. Ozzy got home alright, but little did he know he only had weeks left. Life is short, folks. Short and fragile. Make the most of it.

Listened to a Beatles’ mix for the first time in a while yesterday. Familiarity can breed contempt but it’s amazing how fresh the music still sounds and how, after all this time, you still notice new things. So many layers. They were some band!
