Trying to have other characters describe Kotori in Wings of Grace feels dicey at times because I never know how much attention I should give to the elephant in the room that is her darker complexion. It's rather noticeable in-universe along with her height.

You don’t need ai to make an oc. You can write even if it’s bad and there are so many ways to create how they look if you don’t want to draw!! Things like picrew to in game character customization to commissioning artists!!
