No performative votes, no virtue signaling, no purity tests, no abstaining, no third party, no splinter groups.

So I try not to give too many gory details about life with long covid, but I also think it’s important to give a clear picture of what can happen to anyone.
Over the last yearish, I’ve become allergic to more than 70 foods. Today I lost soy. I’m not how long I can keep eating at all.

DaughterOne’s pair love the show, “The Office,” and DaughterTwo’s trio listen to “The Office Ladies” podcast with their mommy. (Once, when I said something about Bob (their Halloween skeleton), GrandsonFive popped his head up to ask, “Bob Vance?”)

At least we still live in a world enlivened by clever, clever people.
Good Taco Tuesday, friends!
Supposedly the country will "open" up on Wednesday.
We will supposedly have the fabulous new rep from AZ sworn in, months after she won.
She will be the final vote for the #EpsteinFiles discharge petition.
Unless Greg Johnstone predicted some more ish.

A note to anyone thinking of joining the military, or who might have a friend or relative considering such:
DON’T DO IT. From this veteran proud of having served, DON’T SIGN UP.
You’ll be co-opted. You’ll be ordered to do illegal things. Women, you won’t have even the meager protections

Hi.
I’ve been editor-in-chief of Teen Vogue for the last 4.5 years — a dream job, one I never thought a Brown girl from small town Louisiana might hold.
I am so incredibly proud of the work we’ve done and what we accomplished. Our journalism has won major awards. (cont’d)

GrandsonFive (5) is frustrated with the slow rate of traffic and of scientific progress:
On the drive home from school, he got tired of being in the car and said, “Mom, can’t we just teleport now?”

And they are responsible for things that happened prior to the military if the military accepts you with those issues.
Listen to the man and get every little teeny tiny thing documented. Don’t pretend, don’t tough it out, don’t blow off your issues—GET THEM DOCUMENTED.

If you have a family member currently serving, it’d be a good idea to pass this along to them.

Seattle, you can do this!
SEATTLE CURE YOUR VOTES PLEASE
SEATTLE!!!
We’ve now taken the lead by 91 votes! 🤯 This thing is certainly not over! Over 1,000 ballots have been challenged, so if you haven’t tracked your ballot yet get on it! Our trusty volunteers have been working hard to "cure" ballots so they count! We're so close!

I’m very worried about my health insurance next year. My premiums were supposed to go from $288/mo to $461/mo, but then I got an email from CoveredCA (our ACA program) telling me there was an urgent message in my account that I should read right away.
I think I could manage without insurance

Watching BabyGirl all day today as she has a yucky cold and so will not be going to preschool.
Lots of snuggles await!
(I work masked, all the time, every time, and have so avoided all the colds my littles used to share with me so generously. I quite like not getting sick.)

He is a computer safety researcher.
And he has written one of the most compelling, comprehensive accounts of the ongoing hell in Chicago that you could possibly imagine.

I’m only sorry for those travelers and workers who voted for our MVP; all who voted otherwise or, worse, abstained, deserve this. Fuxk ‘em all and let them try to sleep on those filthy carpets.

Just spent a wonderfully enjoyable two hours organizing all the books in the office. It’s been difficult to manage as the Resident Retiree is the main user of that room, with me just getting to use the wall space for my bookcases.

Stopped at Marie’s for donuts; had the nicest chat with a very elderly woman She was tiny, with snowy white hair and bright red lipstick and was getting donuts for the staff at the shop where her dog was being groomed.
Twenty years from now, I will be her (except bigger and no lipstick).

Driving LittleGuy up the hill today in the afternoon. NOT going to stay home today, yesterday was enough (and why I don’t schedule many days off).
Think I’ll go spend a few hours at the protest this morning.
Have a good day, people, and stay safe. Help someone, if you can.
