Okay, yeah, I'm the one who wanted to live near the bustle of the city.

But I didn't think that would mean two police cars, one ambulance and one fire engine at the same time but all going in different directions to different emergencies in my neighborhood.

Thinking of the time I saw this decoration of... Garfield? (And ketamine nightmare Baron Silas Greenback, maybe?) at a nursery-daycare.

Exactly the right level of menacing for your 2-5 year old darlings.

Tried to find instructions to adjust pressure on my boiler today. 2 years ago, this query was easy.

Today? Even with make, model and type info, the first 5 pages of links were to slop-articles, chatbots, and ads for boiler insurance cover.

Don't ask how we got here. We all goddamn know.

If no human people want to pay a mortgage for their entire working life, who would want a debt+asset item that's also tax-deductible for 50 years?

What if it was meant for corporations?

Like Blackstone or FirstKey or whoever else buys up single-family homes at scale and rents them out.
i wish i could have been in the room when they were brainstorming how to solve the housing crisis and someone raised their hand and said "what about 50 year mortgages?"
