What folks need to understand is that WAGE is a - major - funder of community organizations in Canada. My sector clamours every time there's a call for proposals.

And the number one determinant of gender equity in a country is how strong its civil society organizations are.

Partisans called us hysterical.

It's insulting that we have a legal system that doesn't understand how the human brain behaves during a traumatic event.

And we should *all* be concerned by the chilling effect because it means people aren't coming forward which means we're not apprehending people who are committing profound harm.

During the election campaign, Mark Carney pledged to increase the CBC’s budget by $150 million dollars a year.

Now that he’s in government, he’s telling the public broadcaster to find up to $198 million in annual cuts. He can’t claim to defend the country when he’s gutting its media and culture.
