Good morning! Happy #haikusaturday Today I share a #senyru. The photo is not of Caseiopia. It was actually taken by me a couple years ago in the Galapagos Islands.

It's been a while, but I write a post on my Substack. And it's about my #kidlit graphic novel.

Hidden insects singing
Dappled sunlight expanding
cool breeze, leaves falling

Quiet Tortoise sits
Still and silent day-by-day
It's a rock, silly.

Cabbage moths flutter
tiny white leaves whisked by wind
Hungry for nectar.

We have a a couple female hummingbirds coming to our feeders. This morning one arrived just as I was changing out her food. She didn't back off and paused inches from the feeder in my hand.

Good morning #haikusaturday Saturday friends. My long line felt so didactic and unnecessary so I left it out. #micropoetry #senyru

I was sitting outside working on a substack post. I heard a sneeze, and when I looked up, I realized it was a young deer grazing in our little prairie that had made the sound.

Deer sneeze.
What tickled your nose?
Posies? Bees?

Happy #haikusaturday! I must admit I have been a bit unsettled and not living in the moment more than I am living in the moment recently.

I find the summer Solstice to be a bit sad. Yes, in the Northern Hemisphere it's the longest day, but that also means that starting now,our days grow shorter.
