Great essay from @nicolecrust.bsky.social about the debate about what is an 'emotion' - this feeds into some of the issues around terminology and definitions in related fields like interpersonal emotion regulation.
My new essay for @thetransmitter.bsky.social. Why is understanding emotion so challenging? The debates around what counts as an "emotion" shed insight.

Cool post. It's easy to make assumptions about how 'easy' another person's job is when you haven't done it yourself & this is a post that shows working as an academic isn't as 'cruisy' as one might think...but neither is HE administration. I'm incredibly grateful for our professional staff!
I am fascinated by this guy who was a Higher Ed administrator and has now moved into teaching classes as a faculty member. He is documenting his whole journey on TikTok. Over the summer, he had so much excitement 🧵

I just visited www.sanza.co.uk and went a little overboard buying "a taste of home" (Aus + NZ) to be delivered to me at home here in the UK! I'm most excited for the NZ marmite, and the cans of creamed corn! Would be even better if I could order my friends, family, and dog to be delivered!

Preliminary data suggests inconsistency and sometimes a lack of transparency. Paper and recommendations coming
