CDC Deputy Director Ralph Abraham thinks measles outbreaks are the “cost of doing business” in a world of global travel. Because travel didn't exist during the last 20 years, when we had effectively eliminated the disease, right?
‘Frustrating and Demoralizing’: The Measles Comeback Gets Worse
The disease is exploding in South Carolina, we’re about to lose elimination status, and RFK Jr.’s team says it’s just the “cost of doing business.”

Where does all of this leave lower federal court judges? Twisting in frustration as Trump ignores them or circumvents them, knowing that the justices in the Supreme Court majority won’t back them up.

When the president was calling all Somali immigrants "garbage" who "come from hell" and "contribute nothing" to America and therefore needed to go "back where they came from" did you ask him to "stop the rhetoric," Tom?
Homan: "I begged for the last two months on TV for the rhetoric to stop. I said in March -- if the rhetoric doesn't stop, there is gonna be bloodshed. And there has been. I wish I wasn't right. I don't want to see anybody die."

3,000 agents that Homan describes as being "in theater" like it's a war. 3,000 agents in a state with a relatively LOW population of undocumented people compared to say, the red states of Florida and Texas.

The overwhelming amount of force in MN is unreal.
Q: Can you be specific about how many ICE and CBP agents are currently operating in the state?

HOMAN: 3,000. There's been some rotations. They've been in theater a long time. Day after day, can't eat in restaurants, people spin on you, blowing whistles at you. But my main focus now is draw down

6. It's true we in the opposition have limited power or leverage. Perhaps making this a real inflection point was beyond our ability. Or maybe it will still become one. But for now the administration is on course to brush aside this limited setback and forge ahead with its authoritarian agenda.

Soooo many headlines that Trump has "changed course" but that's not true.

Trump, at best, has temporarily softened tone, in reaction to backlash. Gestures are not ACTION.

There is no change until ICE is gone, real investigations are conducted, and meaningful accountability is achieved.
The intense fallout from the killing of Alex Pretti has forced President Trump to publicly change course in Minneapolis.

Listen to our White House reporters discuss the changes on today's episode of "The Daily."
