It’s so true. The ice cream, milk bottle tops, the birds, American accents… they’re all in on it, and they have been all along! I can see that now.

I agree with this attitude. Most of the time fighting hate or ignorance with corrections or putting someone in their places just causes them to get defensive and try to fight you back. The ‘show them how to be’ approach always works better. Just be better and hope people follow is always worth a try

Same goes for Peppers, and Chilli Peppers, one sounds like it should be spicy and the other a cold version of that… sorry, that one works better when you say it out loud and don’t spell it. I’ll stop now….

Surely it would make quite a mockery of the prize is he did. I mean, sure this one thing he did might end in a positive place. Still yet to see how that goes. But other than this he’s caused pain and destruction.

So economic slow down is the big plan to fix the economy? Low birth rate plus slower migration means there is no growth and no jobs unless they have a brilliant idea to create new growth somehow? Let me guess, shall we all just work harder and longer for less money?

Yeah they’re difficult to avoid these days aren’t they. But I find sometimes public conversations are more about the audience than the person. But I do get your point, I should probably just ignore them. Sometimes ignoring it makes it worse also.

Genuinely probably was. Probably AI found a word association with the article without the ability to understand the context. Funny.

But I already have. Should I perhaps buy 2?

Apologies but I told my wife so that she could buy it for our son for Christmas. I promise not to tell anyone else though…

She doesn’t know how many jobs, but she does know this unidentified number of jobs shouldn’t exist… I assume because of some form of political ideology and not because she understands what each of these jobs do. Let’s just fire people because it might get some votes instead of a real reason…

Ok then. Suns out today though, so that’s nice.

Of course he is the judge for his own private things. The flag can be positive or negative depending on the message that is being made. From what he is saying, he’s decided not to display it because recently it’s too often being used for negative and divisive purposes. That’s all.

So people don’t have the right to protest anymore? Or is it just that Netanyahu is allowed to do whatever he likes and nobody is allowed to say anything because questioning Netanyahu is antisemitic?

Why would I want a mattress to give me back pain when back pain is unpleasant…

I welcome topical comedy in bleak news times. More of this please!

This is just a guess, but maybe they never noticed because so many politicians and media organisations spend so much time and effort normalising racism, sexism and bigotry. If you complain you can’t say things anymore without someone calling you a racist then perhaps inward reflection is in order

The way they are sending in troops to major cities without a care in the world about what that is going to do to their vote seems to me a little suspicious. Either voting is going to be very controlled, restricted, manipulated, or they just won’t be held because of a made up emergency.

When politicians start ignoring science or attempting to dictate its outcomes then maybe we would be better off with new politicians? Just a thought. But for some reason I would prefer the Earth continued to stay habitable. I’m weird like that.

Maybe the problem is that people see a house as an investment. Maybe it shouldn’t be. The government should be actively discouraging the continuous growth of the price of housing. It benefits very few people and hugely cripples everyone else.

Wow, quite a misleading headline.

The easier way is to type in to the skwibadi-do, “hey ChatGPT, can you please nick a bunch of people’s work for me and make it look all pretty like”, then 5 seconds later you have some shiny plagiarism all done without the effort or sense of accomplishment.

They are, however my comment was relating to the article suggesting people were climate skeptics meaning they are disbelieving the findings of the bulk of scientific expertise. The follow up question of how should we tackle the problem then becomes a job for politicians, engineers and economists etc

It always confuses me when the general public think they need to have an opinion on the details of complex sciences. If you want to further a science, get the qualifications and write a paper. If you have watched a few YouTube videos and think you’re an expert then perhaps just get a better hobby.

The strategy of losing their core voters to extremist party views is a bad one. Even though there are some people out there who want an erratic shakeup of society, there are far more people who just want stability, equality and steady growth. Just focus on cost of living. Thats the main problem.
