The best advice to get over a breakup is “if she thinks you’re too much, let her go find less.”
It’s easy to fall back on the narrative that I need to shrink myself to match someone who isn’t enough for me. But I’m not willing to settle for love that’s less than mine.

I’ve been listening to the book Everything She Touches: The Life of Ruth Asawa. I can’t help but draw parallels from the Japanese internment camps to current events. I’m also realizing how little Americans talk about this history. Revisiting her work feels more politically relevant than ever.
