My warm TTRPG take is that reading the books, rolling characters and tables, DM prep, world building, backstory writing, drawing maps, organizing your dice, and all of that solo time is valid play. Heck, there’s plenty of solo games that focus entirely on this phase of the process!

These executive orders on banning federally funded entities from recognizing trans people or disallowing them from using the bathroom are not self-executing or immediately enforceable. They require formal rule making at a minimum. They are a scare tactic. Ignore and do not comply in advance.

One thing I have thought about a lot is TT’s relationship to sound. The ability to overdub or stitch your video with another song or sound created an ecosystem that spurred the memeification of soundbites in a revolutionary way. No real take, I just always thought that was the coolest thing.
