now is an excellent time to remind you that it was travis head in the last #ashes series in australia who quite literally inspired bazball in the first place. they have literally referenced it
November 22, 2025 at 8:04 AM
this isn't bazball. this is the reason they had bazball in the first place: that is, they had a bad test team and a good short form team. this time around, they just thought maybe they had a good test team again. well. #ashes

hello!! i am very much a free agent when it comes to ashes coverage, so if you know of any freelance opportunities to cover the madness that's about to ensue, i'd love to hear about them!!! example of the waxing poetic kinda stuff i love to write: sleeplesshockey.substack.com/p/mitch-mars...
Mitch Marsh and THAT knock
Thoughts on a single-session century that, much like Marsh's presence in the team, exists in defiance of all expectation. (Day One, Headingley)

i know it's just the lead-up to this tournament but it does feel like australia has played india approximately 20,000 times in the past two months

lord help me i'm about to recreate the infamous alex hartley tweet word for word

excited to have the australian men as a curtain-raiser to the women's odi later. will be great to raise the profile of the young fellas, and get a few eyes on the men's game that otherwise wouldn't have tuned in

look, as someone who's gone out in a lot of embarrassing ways, i don't really have a leg to stand on. so i won't be commenting on that wicket. just thinking it very loudly

perth, what the hell

if it's the sort of rain where meg lanning would look you in the eye and say 'what rain.' then it's not raining. what is this 😭

matt renshaw trying everything he can to emulate sammy konstas' route to an australian test opener berth. yes this is commentary on the moustache
October 19, 2025 at 4:19 AM
pretty embarrassing to have male commentators sitting there calling this the first day of the cricket summer when the australian women's team quite literally JUST qualified for a world cup semi final. like actually a bit embarrassed for them
October 19, 2025 at 4:07 AM
this australian nhl broadcast is farcical thus far. feed keeps dropping out and freezing. why this needed to be done from new york if there are such high level connectivity issues is beyond me but it's pretty insulting.
October 17, 2025 at 11:09 PM
i love world cup logic. you're allowed to drop that one actually because you hit a match-winning century the other day. runs on the board, so to speak, over several matches. also of note is beth mooney can do whatever she wants for the rest of the tournament
October 16, 2025 at 10:15 AM
beth. mooney.

They just took a Florida goal off the board (it was scored like six minutes ago in playing time) because Mikkola was ejected but hadn't left? Never seen anything like this.
