2nd time i've had to bring Nashi to the emergency vets now...

I wish they'd actually work out how to help him instead of just charging me out the arse to give him oxygen.

Lost him in my arms a couple hours ago.

The last thing he did, was pull himself up to my face whilst he was resting on my chest, and gave me a lick on my nose. Then he turned away, and I saw his breathing start to slow.

He was gone not 2 minutes later.

I will always love you my little chomb. <3

It's been a while since I posted; but we lost my baby Chappie at the start of the month, that kinda shut me down.

Then Nashi had to go to the vets for an emergency visit yesterday due to breathing problems

I cherish every day I get with this little guy. Chomb is 2.5yo, so he's an old man; but he's such a loving cuddly baby when he wants to be. He gives me kisses and boggles like crazy when he gets pets (especially behind his ears!)

There's always a slight feeling of frustration when the decision to confiscate ball privileges™️ has to be made.

You can do as much positive conditioning training as possible, as many "time-outs" as you need, and biology will still run wild and stress your rats out.

Its been a stressful couple weeks.

But I got a glowing performance review from my Manager yesterday that really cheered me up; as I was totally expecting to be let go due to the tech sector losses recently.

Turns out being the only Linux sysadmin and microservice architect has its benefits 🤣
