A few weeks ago, a message from a friend popped up on my smartphone. She wrote, she was supposed to send me greetings from a person she had just met for the first time. The fun fact was, I knew that person. She only knew his name in advance because he was often recommended to her as a probable friend on Facebook, as two of her friends were already friends with that person.

Throwback Thursday: Done!
Everything has an end; only sausages have two. On Tuesday at noon, I attended my late father's funeral. Although he unexpectedly passed away 1 month ago, the urn burial was this week. As he was already 90 years old, not many friends were able to attend the ceremony. Most of his friends also passed away many years ago. Thus, only the wife of his best friend, who passed away during the pandemic because of not being treated for an acute leukemia attack, and a couple joined us to fill the tiny chapel, 14 in all.

Throwback Thursday: A hike in Snowwhite’s forest?
It could be! Last Saturday, I went on another hike with my middle son. He's also into photography, thus conducting such hikes in an area interesting from a photographer's point of view is much more fun than going alone. In addition, for that hike, the organizer, the local tourist information office, recommended not to go alone because of the very limited coverage with mobile telephony.

Throwback Thursday: Reflections on our summer
Although many reports about heat and broken heat records, the summer in July in my region was too cold and too wet. OK, nature benefited from the extra rain, but outdoor pools and other weather-dependent activities had to suffer. August started better. So, let's wait and see how it develops for the rest of the summer. Take care!

Travel Tuesday: finding Smurfs

When I found these, I saw bluebells for the first time. And, at once, the similarity with Smurfs came to my mind, as I wrote already last week. It's not the best image, and the conditions were not optimal. Fortunately, I saw a couple more late on this hike and during…

It's not the best image, and the conditions were not optimal. Fortunately, I saw a couple more late on this hike and during the next days as well. Take care!
