Always making me sing John Brown's Body
But but but, does that mean I was led astray all these years by the background lore for Werewolf: the Apocalypse?
I'm glad this piece of shit is getting some focus. Robert was correct - taking this guy out of the timeline would have led to some significant changes.
Oh that's neat, I have the same time machine sleeper pick as @iwriteok.bsky.social. Good to see I'm not the only one.
Is it the ancestral home of the Earl of Preston?
Thank you, @iwriteok.bsky.social, for putting "noodling the whirlpool" in my head; now I have to find a way to work that into as many conversations as possible.
As someone who cannot eat beans and does not like the taste, texture, and smell of beans anyway, I'm afraid I must disagree.

But that's okay, we all get to like the food we like. Even if they're wrong.
Worthwhile thread with important context.
Returning to this. There’s a lot of foundation myths swirling around Robert Bork from everybody, and I think it’s worth questioning them.

should've let us put nixon's hatchet man on the supreme court, sincerely, the Good Conservative Tom Nichols of MSNBC
But doing a bad act for a noble cause STILL has consequences, such as giving up on future appointments to the SCOTUS.

Even if we assume the best intentions, that asshole tried to have his cake and eat it too on the national level. He had no business being on the bench.
Not only that, he made the decision to follow Nixon's extremely suspect order to fire Archibald Cox during the Saturday Night Massacre with the intent to not leave the DOJ leaderless, which he and others framed as a noble thing to do.
Not only did @robertrath.bsky.social write a great book about the Asassinorum, he also wrote one of the best Imperial Knights books. I built and painted my Knight Valiant because of this book.

Get a copy, it absolutely worth it.

Three new #BlackLibrary Special Editions announced over on WarCom today.

The first, 2022's Assassinorum: Kingmaker by @robertrath.bsky.social

This one's high on the list of "40K books people recommend to me," and it comes with an author's introduction as well!
Sorry @whysophiewhy.bsky.social I gotta give an update after I finished listening to today's episode; Robert made a Spin Doctor's joke, thus he cannot be rated above "Fails to Meet Some Expectations" and may merit a one-on-one meeting.
There are three days for it to get done, plenty of time.
I knew it, it was the Federalist Society guys in law school who kept struggling with the word "shall" during my 1L year.

And 2L.

And 3L.

(and still get grumpy when I point out how their political opinions shape their "apolitical" analyses)
I mean, one of the first truths of the Leagues of Votann is "Luck Has, Need Keeps, Toil Earns," sooooo maybe that's how muscles are earned?
Eeeee I'm impatient for the new codex and getting more lore!
Ancestor Cores are artefacts of immense knowledge and power that held the collective wisdom of the Squats. https://loom.ly/PvvWPYI

I think that influence helps sell a feeling of "humanity has always sucked and continues to suck in M41" in the setting. As in some of these trappings are just echoes of what has come become and will happen again.

That seems rather fatalistic of me, maybe this is a rather gloomy Monday for me lol.
I found a lot of the anti-wokeness arguments (or at least the loudest and most prolificated) weren't done in good faith. As in the enabling you describe wasn't completely incidental, it was intentional for some of those pushing the anti-woke message.
I have some other things in the queue to finish first, but a preview of a Deathwing brother. Even in death he still serves!

And yes, the legs do spin thanks to a micro bearing.
