you need to be able to demonstrate an understanding of what you did, empathy towards those affected, a resolution if applicable, and an action plan or a reasonable effort to prevent such things from re-occuring in the future.

In my early 20s I felt so self conscious that everyone expected me to have everything figured out even though I was doing everything in life for the first time. Now that I am in my 30s, I now understand that nobody has anything figured out and feel way more comfortable admitting I don't know things.
