Governments are horrible conduits of Christianity.

So now we know, the next stage after Late-Stage Capitalism is Early-Stage Fascism. #fascism

At this point, many mainline American churches are gaslighting for #Trump under the guise of “Christianity.”

Their sermons, “ministries,” and “resources” are focused on promoting #Trumpism and attacking “liberalism” rather than loving God and loving their neighbors.

If your church or denomination predominantly supports Trumpism…divest from it.

Stop tithing and financially supporting it.

If American churches can’t accept the teachings of Jesus, maybe they’ll at least get jolted out of their idolatry when their finances are significantly impacted.

This is definitely a significant theme throughout the Bible: Empires, rulers, and political power are horribly corrupting and generally anti-Christlike.

Jesus loves immigrants and refugees.

This isn’t partisan propaganda—it’s divine truth clearly stated in the Bible.

History tells us over and over again that people responding with “This isn’t how fascism begins” is exactly how fascism begins.

It’s not like Fascists and Dictators and their movements self-identify as such.

Look for symptoms of fascism: political violence, reducing free speech and human rights

For Christians Who Feel Betrayed By Christianity
How can someone talk about the existence of a better life in heaven when their fellow believers are denying a better existence to people on earth?

History tells us that political power regularly corrupts the #Christian faith instead of strengthens it.

Many of the greatest human freedoms and human rights victories that governments have instituted have happened despite resistance from many churches…not because of their initiative.

The Anabaptist movement, which includes the Amish, Hutterites and Mennonites, has long been defined by its belief in the separation of the church from the state, that it should be a voluntary decision to join the church and, for many, a commitment to nonviolence.

Betraying Jesus for the sake of greed and political power is a tale as old as Judas and a few silver coins. #Jesus
