Obviously, this is amazing BUT the thing I love most, is that it's directly poking fun at the desire/fetish to overanimate overlapping action & smears.

Asking someone of James Baxter's calibre to *intentionally* do this (as well as mess up the spacing on a bounce) is funny in the nerdiest way.

It was the mightiest martial artist of all! A screen showing Ryu (Street Fighter) pointing at himself, confused. This card’s art is from Lan Hikari (Mega Man Battle Network)’s POV. In Lan’s other hand is a Battle Chip depicting Ryu throwing a Hadoken. In the Battle Network series, there is a special class of Battle Chips known as Navi Chips that summon certain NetNavis onto the field to perform a special attack. These are typically some of the most powerful chips a player can use. In TEPPEN, many of the Navi Chips are actually characters from other Capcom series, though in context of this card pack, RiCO (Mega Man X) has summoned the actual Ryu into cyberspace in order to help defeat Shadaloo. The red rim around the screen would imply this scene is taking place inside Lan’s 5th grade homeroom class.

There's someone...you want me to defeat?" "That's right! This world's in terrible danger!" Ryu (Street Fighter) looking around, confused as he suddenly appears in the Cyberworld of the Battle Network series. RiCO (Mega Man X) is on a screen next to him, pleading to him for help. In Mega Man X DiVE, RiCO communicates directly to the player and asks for their assistance in cleaning the Deep Log of glitches that have been corrupting it. TEPPEN takes that concept and has her literally able to summon people into the Cyberworld, in the case, summoning Ryu to battle against Shadaloo and its custom NetNavis.
