Long overdue update on my Monday Sweater. Body is almost done, about 3cm of ribbing left. I did combination knitting for the ribbing and it goes so much faster, I’ll never go back. #knitsky #showmeyourknits

WIP Wednesday update on Sunday Grid blanket. It’s about 20% complete and a little over a foot long. Winner this week was Oscar for win no 3 of the season. Off week this week to weave ends and then Miami for another sprint race

It’s done! First complete sweater of the year and right on time to take for my spring vacation to the beach (cold WA beach, not sunny warm beach).
Pattern is Louisiana Sweater by Petite Knit, yarn is Drops Air in Parrot Green.

Race 3! It’s starting to look more like a blanket and I got some ends weaved in during the break. Overall not the most exciting race, but a good show for my favs (Isack, Alex)

Race 2 results on the blanket, there was a sprint race as well this weekend so it’s more colorful. 2 down, 22 to go.

First row of the Sunday Gird blanket is complete! The Aus GP never fails to be an exciting race and it was a great season opener. This project is already looking like it’s going to be my favorite this year.
Top 3 Lando (papaya), Max (golden), & George (teal)

The reality of knitting an intarsia blanket with 22 color strands: big pile of slightly tangled yarn. But doing this with bobbins would have been worse.

Body is complete! One more sleeve and then it’s off to the blocks.

Formula 1 starts back up this week, so here is all the yarn for my F1 knitting project this season. I’ll be doing a race tracker blanket, each driver has their own color and order will be done by finishing position. There will be rows both for Grand Prix races and Sprint races.

Another year, another set of king cakes. This was also my first bake post surgeries, so two thumbs up for me for that accomplishment.
Flavors: blackberry lemon curd & frangipane cherry.

Finally cast off this blanket. It was my post surgery project that I started several months before surgery. It will be sent off to its new home in the next few weeks to make room for my next blanket project.

We have been careful to avoid using the word coup, but it’s time to call it what it is—this is a coup. Trump signed an executive order granting only the attorney general or the president the authority to interpret laws executed by the executive branch.

Some slow progress on the body. TBH knitting the body of sweater is my least favorite part of making one, so it takes me a bit longer to do them cause I just don’t wanna. The other issue is I have a longer torso, so I’m always adding length to the pattern.

Think firing the entire federal workforce will save America money?

Federal civilian employees account for just 4% of the federal budget. Even if someone like Musk—or any president—fired all of us, it wouldn’t make much of a dent in government spending. Don’t fall for it.

The groundhog said 6 more weeks of winter. The weather said okay cool, and now it has started to snow around Seattle.
