Obsession-
‘The west’ is being strangled by unregulated corporate power.
It’s worth buying this fortnight’s Private Eye for a devastating analysis of Teesworks, the failed levelling up Freeport. Something which the #NAO has been told to avoid.

On Yom Kippur many Jewish people in Britain have their phones off to mark the holy day.

As it ends at 723pm, some will hear the tragic Manchester news for the first time.

At that time, please join many of us to send a message of solidarity to British Jews. Thanks Together coalition for proposing.

UK, esp 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿, is in a mess.
Rather than trying to copy Reform it’s not too late for Starmer to start projects for big (long term) change:

Restructure local government
Local taxes
Devolved powers
Full revision of central taxes
Abolish National Insurance
etc

Vision please, Labour!

Labour must push Digital ID Cards. Reform are against them but the fuss about Small Boats will continue to dominate the media (😡)

What can we do about smart phones?

⚠️Social media mischief

weaponise the bewilderment of uneducated, ignorant or anxious people

Bewilderment is the foundation of fascism. The racist politician, the useless journalist and the media owner like bewilderment

It’s time everyone adopted this attitude.
Also for Sudan, Mali, Congo vs Rwanda, China vs Uyghurs, and for Iranians, Russians, and anybody under dictatorships - e.g. El Salvador, Guatemala, and … the United States of America.
I support Palestine Action.
I hate all forms of violence.
I wish no harm on anyone.
I just want a kinder, fairer, greener world.
Apparently this makes me a terrorist.

Billionaires and short term Private Equity businesses etc., are held in high regard.
They shouldn’t be:-

1. They don’t pay a fair amount of tax.
Because-

2. They don’t believe in the State.
Therefore-

3. They fund rw think-tanks which propound misinformation, no matter who owns the media.
Billionaires own almost the entire Media so Journalism doesn't exist.

Because the most powerful people do almost all the bad things.

But they will NEVER tell on themselves.

So we just get boring racist lies.

I once had great hopes for Rachel Reeves.
Then she forgot all about Fuel Duty being frozen for over a decade by the previous shitty govt.
Now she’s messing up the tax returns of every household which contains someone receiving a state pension.

This is a worthwhile ten minute read 😍
Transphobia is the successful wedge issue that fascism uses to infect people and fill them full of hate. Our existence harms nobody but shatters the lie, central to fascism, that there exists natural hierarchies, that some people are naturally superior by fact of birth.

Quick story about how profoundly JK Rowling has changed.

She once sought to help a young woman of colour who, she believed (rightly), had been targeted by a notorious right wing self publicist working with Jonathan Ames and then thrown under a bus by Edinburgh Uni. She wanted me to assist.

I just met, by accident, an Afghan chap age about 30. He came over on a small boat earlier this year. He explained in broken English why he left the country of his birth: Taliban dictatorship.
I said he’s welcome and wished him success.
On X there’d be halfwits writing about ‘fighting age’.

Starmer’s respect for Reform policies is a strategic disaster for Labour.
Is this what Morgan McSweeney wants?
Just remember: Starmer could have used his speech on immigration to explain to people how Brexit has made immigration explode, and that that's why we need to rejoin the Single Market with Freedom of Movement. But he chose instead to follow Farage down his xenophobic rabbit hole.

This is not a conspiracy theory. It’s been blindingly obvious for nearly a decade 😡
Its starting to look like, especially given Starmer's prioritisation of US and India trade deals against the will of his own people, Brexit was a fascist plot (US, Israel, Russia, etc..) to break up the EU and let large multinational corporations and finance firms move in to exploit everything.
UK-India trade deal increases GDP 0.1%

Brexit lowers GDP by 5%

▶️Goldman Sachs: -5%
▶️Centre for European Reform: -5.2%
▶️National Institute of Economic and Social Research: -5–6%
▶️Cambridge Econometrics -5%

Brexit destroyed collaborative research.
