Number 12 in our countdown takes us back to one of the most gifted inside forwards ever to grace Sincil Bank, a player whose craft and vision helped define an entire era of excitement in the early fifties. Johnny Garvie formed a lethal partnership with Andy Graver, and is a forward whose movement, touch and eye for goal made him one of the most entertaining performers the club has seen, returning 0.42 goals per game across a remarkable six-year spell.

Our early January clash with Exeter City will now be rearranged, after the troubled Grecians ended a good week with a huge win. The Third Round of the FA Cup is due to take place over the weekend of January 10th, and that's when we were scheduled to make the long trip to Devon. Lincoln City Player of the Month – November 2025

I think it is safe to say that, despite three wins in November, some supporters were still not happy. Surely, an average of just 6.33 for a home win (Port Vale) must be some sort of record. As for the Rotherham game, the overall score was lower than…
Lincoln City Player of the Month – November 2025
I think it is safe to say that, despite three wins in November, some supporters were still not happy. Surely, an average of just 6.33 for a home win (Port Vale) must be some sort of record. As for the Rotherham game, the overall score was lower than for Chippenham back in 2022/23. That's really saying something because, in my opinion, we weren't actually that bad against Rotherham.

‘Morally Wrong’ – Former Football League Manager Discusses One-Time Lincoln City Approach

If there is one thing about football that intrigues me, it is the 'what if' moments. What if we'd appointed Martin O'Neill when he was Grantham manager and came for the Imps job? What if Egil Ostenstad hadn't…

If there is one thing about football that intrigues me, it is the 'what if' moments. What if we'd appointed Martin O'Neill when he was Grantham manager and came for the Imps job? What if Egil Ostenstad hadn't dived against Southampton in '96? What if Yeo's goal had been allowed in the 2005 play-off final? What if we hadn't appointed Steve Tilson?

Former Lincoln City Man Makes Long-Awaited Return From Injury
Former Imps keeper Lukas Jensen has taken an important step in his comeback, completing his first full match in eight months for Millwall’s under-21s. Jensen’s lay-off had stretched from April to the start of December after an Achilles injury suffered in training brought his momentum to a brutal halt, yet the Dane returned this week with a performance that Millwall described as both timely and ahead of schedule.

Regan Poole was at MK Dons when he moved to us, and Conor McGrandles was a loan from our division when he returned. While we're likely to be active in January, I'd be surprised if we targeted anyone in the same division as us.

‘Can’t Promise Anything’ – Imps League One Rivals Might Not Complete The Season
Exeter City have long been viewed as one of our League One rivals that operate with prudence and patience, yet their latest financial crisis has pushed even that reputation to its limits. There is now genuine anxiety in Devon about the club’s ability to reach the end of the season without further emergency measures, and it paints a stark picture of the pressures facing supporter-owned sides in a division where many competitors are propped up by owners willing to absorb huge annual losses.
