funniest outcome last night was nearly 2 in 3 politically active Californians slamming the 'yes' button on the 'Delete Republican Districts' measure

One way to think about the Mamdani campaign is that 14 years ago Mayor Bloomberg and Gov Cuomo worked to crush Occupy Wall Street - a social movement gesturing at what working class politics might look like in a country with a marginalized & disorganized left.
Today, Cuomo and Bloomberg will lose.

Always amazing to me how so much of transmisogyny is just misogyny. Am I (cis woman) male brained when I tell people to fuck off or joke around with the lads (gender neutral) on Discord?
Brianna Wu called our writer, the esteemed @alyssaur.bsky.social, "male brained" for engaging in some light online shit-talking.

Meme-ifying etc of politicians has to stop. They will make choices and compromises we disagree with!
The degree is different, but it was so frustrating to see non-Pennsylvanian reactions to Fetterman. Mamdani is way more to the left, but he won't be perfect. Non-NYCers esp need to be thoughtful.

mamdani is human. he'll fuck up and fail, especially with a hostile press and the giant mess that is nyc's politics. but today is a great day for the brave women who told what cuomo did, and for those of us who care that it should matter. that power shouldn't go to those who hurt the poweless.
I'm happy that Mamdani won. But I won't let that get in the way of my celebrating Cuomo losing.

Here’s my my pitch for why you care about your state attorney general.
The entire conservative judicial machine *depends* on conservative state attorney generals.
John Roberts can’t take a case asking to destroy voting rights if a state attorney generals doesn’t bring it.

Tonight is our last sunset later than FIVE FUCKING PM until MARCH and I'd just like to reiterate that permanent daylight savings would be better than this bullshit.

I genuinely do not understand how people are supposedly committing "fraud" with SNAP cards. The card has to be in your hand. If I buy a friend some groceries and they give me $5 later, there's no way to prove it was transactional without some very staged dialog.
