To put it in perspective, the time period between Stegosaurus and T Rex is about 33% longer than the time period between T Rex and today

Daughter’s current approach to language is best described as “why use whole word when part of word do trick”, she’ll learn a multi syllable word then figure out how small she can make it while still being understood, with the exception of milk which is two syllables now because ?????

Daughter is having the typical toddler pronoun confusion, she’s figured out “I” but not “me” so she’ll say “I paint/walk/eat/etc!” if you ask what she’s doing but if you show her a picture of herself she’ll point to her chest and say “you!!!” very enthusiastically

Unfortunately said toddler seems to have decided that five minutes of pretending to be asleep on an Ikea showroom bed counts as her nap today
Just spent an absolutely lovely morning just going around Ikea. Amazing how joyful even a mundane thing can become when you're doing it with a toddler who has never done it before (as far as she can remember).
