here's a fun little game. you start with a number, find the smallest factor and subtract it. keep going, but the next number you can only take the smallest factor that you haven't subtracted already in the sequence.

some numbers reach zero, some don't. seems like the majority of numbers reach 0.

Asked what IDEA stood for, McMahon responded, “I’m not sure I can tell you exactly what it stands for except that it’s programs for disabled needs. It’s my fifth day on the job, and I’m really trying to learn quickly.”

TIMSS 2023
Singapore remains #1 in the world. US is barely above the international avg. Yet EVERY Singapore Math program was scoring as Not meeting Ed Reports.
Ed Reports only looks at alignment not efficacy. The Common core is the basement not the ceiling!

Multiplying fractions today. What is 1/2 of 5/3? First we found that 1/6 is half of each third. Then took 5 groups of 1/6. #iteach math.

Looking at new requirements for EOC exams in Missouri. Wow the rigor is really high. Much more focus on explanation and describing key features of a solution. Finally assessing what real mathematicians do extrapolating models and making sense!
