Welcome, fellow refugees. Not sure how long until Bsky is training it's own AI on everything we post. Maybe never, maybe weeks. Until then let's have some fun?

So thrilled to have had the opportunity to work with the incredibly talented @maxprentisvisual.bsky.social on this amazing cover for @lostincult.co.uk latest, 'Mouthwashing: Design Works'

The cover wraps around to the reverse cover where you will see Daisuke, Swansea and...a cute cartoon pony :)

My dad told me a story about having a drink with Mr Lovell at some local dive bar when this sequence was being filmed for The Man who Fell to Earth back in the 1970's.
My dad said Mr. Lovell had a lot to say about space and what he saw there...
I'll leave it at that.
Rest in peace, spaceman.

Rockstar announces that taking a screenshot in GTA6 requires charging the in-game battery, inserting a virtual flash card, and setting the aperture, shutter speed and focus.

If you don't take off the "lens cap" - screenshots will be black.

2015 vs 2020... Although I have improved in digital inking, I still feel that I am lacking a lot in color, and that is why I am still holding back from adding color to this drawing.

I'm still begging for a 3d overlay interface that all my streaming services pipe into that looks like a vintage Blockbuster with interactive VHS boxes on shelves and an annoying teen knowitall NPC clerk.

I collect vintage/unique clipboards and use them as portable sketchbooks.

I was checking Craigslist for a beater skateboard for son and this vintage late 80's clipboard popped up. Original owner.

"MATH SUCKS"

Immediately drove over and rescued it.

I want to add one more thing:

After all these companies let teams go and hang all their product development on AI tools - subscription prices will increase 100x over.

If AI replaced 5 people earning a modest 40k each - that company can expect to pay not $1000 a year, but $100k a year.
Senior artists come from junior artists spending time in their industry, doing basic tasks, then more sophisticated tasks, learning the ins and outs the entire time.

If companies chose to not use junior artists, instead using AI to generate assets, where will senior artists come from?

Used to be that a highly anticipated show came on and everybody watched it at the same time and the next day, at work or at school, we'd go nuts, talking about it.

Nobody yelled "spoilers", shutting down the convo. The opposite. If you missed it - you demanded ALL the details.

Is there any modern tech that did "get better"?

The internet? Nope.

Social Media? Nope.

Streaming Services? Nope.

Blockchain? Nope.

But those grifters insist that AI generative tools and LLMs will, for real this time, "get better".
