Now I know why I couldn't connect.
So: the matrix.org database secondary lost its FS due to a RAID failure earlier today (11:17 UTC). Then, we lost the primary at 17:26. We're trying to restore the primary DB FS (which could be fastish), while also doing a point-in-time backup restore from last night (which takes >10h).

Today was a day of scripting. I've been cleaning up some of my local utility scripts. Some are used to backup files and folders, some are used to semi-automate other things like website backups, file copies and renaming, all sorts of stuff. Today was mostly bash.

Last week I set up 4 cameras, a hub, and some door sensors for a customer. I'm really liking these Tapo devices. The cameras can use the Tapo Cloud service to store recordings or you can put an SD card in each one to store the recorded video locally.

What software / tools does your business use in it's day to day operations? I am curious. I use Google Workspace for most of my admin needs. I also use VSCode, FileZilla, WordPress for the sites I build. I use MobaXTerm for all my remote access needs. #tools #software #it #nerdlife
