Too many blind and partially sighted people have their lives put on pause because vital services are reduced and delayed.

If you believe they have the right to access support quickly, then sign our petition to Wes Streeting, Secretary of State for Health and Social Care rnib.in/OutOfSightPetition

🚨 NEW: The rapid spread of Active Clubs, a network of fascist martial arts groups, is among the most concerning trends on the British extreme right.

We can now expose the figures behind AC Midlands - one of the best established chapters in the country.

"To say 'Zelenskyy is no friend of the working class' is an insulting, facile distraction from the fact that Sultana refuses to support the Ukrainian people’s fight for existence."

Proper cold fury and moral clarity from @paulmason.bsky.social on Sultana.

We our countdown to Halloween with some of my favourite spooky, frightening, or unusual portraits. This terrifying creature was originally drawn in 2023.

This…..erm…well it belongs to the wonderfully lovely Jo Hawley.

I don’t know what he’s called, but I’ve named him Walter Shipdown.

Adam Root shortlisted for the global Earthshot Prize after he built a unique design for filters that remove microplastics from water, from his mother-in-law's dining table.

A lovely bit of news. British ingenuity at the service of good. ~AA

🚨Over 79,000 have now signed the petition. We are getting so close to 100,000🙏

For too long, the UK press have bullied people, harassed grieving families, and destroyed lives, all to sell papers.

I give this a little boost occasionally. It’s becoming a nice little repository in the replies of lovely stuff people make that you can buy. Please feel free to reply to it with yours. And if you find something you like but can’t afford, reposts always help!
A great way to fight back against AI taking away work from creatives is to buy art by actual humans.

(Reply to this post with your own art/website etc. But only if you’re an organic life-form).

An elected MP, Reform’s Sarah Pochin says there are too many Black and Asian people on TV - so plain racism - and the coverage of it is buried. Silence and ignorance is complicity, causing lasting damage. When we see racism it’s what we do next, individually and collectively, that matters.

Off the top of my head, there have been four egregious examples of weapons grade public racism in the last couple of weeks - Jenrick; the Express hack; Captain Concrete & the Reform woman. The way they are treated by employers, punters & wider media, will directly influence how much more we see.

I haven’t seen anyone talk about how Jane Doe - an Epstein survivor - just sued the Bank of New York Mellon for funding Epstein and failing to file a Suspicious Activity Report. A Mellon heir is the one who gave $130M to pay the troops. Seems bribey to me.

That's racism. Plain and simple.

No other word for it.

It's shocking beyond belief that this sort of thing is somehow acceptable.
Reform UK MP Sarah Pochin, “It drives me mad seeing adverts full of black people, full of Asian people, full of anything other than white"

Followed by that time Sarah Pochin said, "My kids say: mum, you're such a moron" 👀

Refuk’s fiscal prudence appears to extend only as far as their next vanity project, their Nottinghamshire council leader, Mick Barton, blew £75,000 on flags while public services rot. It’s less ‘responsible governance’ and more an extravagant circle-jerk of faux patriotism at the taxpayer’s expense.

Possibly unpopular opinion - Farage’s ‘listen love’ moment should have been a much bigger deal, if not career ending. Especially as he’s spent all summer lecturing us about cultures which have a ‘medieval attitude towards women’.
