The planet Venus is now starting to appear in images from NASA's Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) spacecraft's LASCO (Large Angle Spectrometric Coronagraph) C3 camera.

In about a month, Venus will reach what is known as superior conjunction.

The forecasting was for us in Colorado to just barely see a glow of Northern Lights just a few degrees above our northern horizon on Tuesday night with a better chance on Wednesday night and early Thursday morning.

Boy was that prediction wrong.
