I have a new piece in @TheSlingUtah explaining why a 50-year mortgage, the new proposal from the White House (or Bill Pulte to be more specific), is a terrible idea. It doesn't create more home owners, just maybe more mortgages and more interest payments. www.thesling.org/a-50-year-mo...

Absolutely amazing sporting achievement. At age 26, Pogačar has already won the Tour de France four times and if he wins next year, he will still be younger than Armstrong* was in 1999.

We made this website to tell our story:

Amazing. For decades, the NCAA has fought NIL tooth and nail, with their economic "experts" offering myriad specious arguments. Now we have coaches acknowledging that "NIL opportunities are essential for our student athletes to help them succeed on and off the field."

Whatever one might think of UNC hiring Bill Belichick, he's likely going to increase the NIL pot available there, which is great news for the college athlete labor pool.

Just a reminder for college sports fans unhappy with the state of the transfer portal: the status quo exists because NCAA member schools refuse to recognize college athletes as employees.
