China's economy has grown by ~5% in the last year, so this comprehensively debunks the idea (again) that emissions are tied to growth. So yes, faster progress needed, but this is how you turn the corner.

BBC decided to cancel a podcast on heat pumps deeming the topic "controversial" because it presented that the technology could contribute to net zero reducing carbon emmissions.

This day honours and remembers the children who were forced into Canada's Residential School system.
It was first observed as Orange Shirt Day in 2013 and was elevated to a statutory holidy for federal workers in 2021.

One piece of advice I have for those seeing this post from within the United States — find ways to watch credible news from other countries. Whenever I watch U.S. news channels, it’s easier for me to understand how badly U.S. politics and discourse is broken, and how uninformed U.S. residents are.
