Now accepting advice on long-distance dating an academic (success stories, anyone?)
I've struggled to announce this amidst so much dark & awful going on in the world, but with 1mo to go, I wanted to share that: (i) I finally graduated; (ii) In August, I'll begin as an assistant professor in the CS dept. of the National University of Singapore.

A new #LongCovid clinical trial is enrolling for bezisterim, an investigational anti-inflammatory drug that crosses the blood-brain barrier.

It has been studied in neurological & neurodegenerative disorders, including Alzheimer’s & Parkinson’s. 1/

Comments returned on a grant application: one commenter said I lacked ML expertise and another wrote such a glowing paragraph about me that l'd like to staple it to my wall to look at when l'm feeling insecure

Anyone have pro tips for emotionally processing the occasional realization that you’re reading a paper from a year ago and all of the patients who contributed samples to it are almost certainly dead?

Symptoms associated with effort expenditure in #LongCOVID, #MECFS and other energy limiting illnesses are physiological, not “preferential”

Unnatural way to do math
the gf saw me trying to do math in Notepad this way and was aghast that I wouldn't just use actual pen and paper

but I'm like, idk, if ChatGPT can think in LaTeX, so can I !!!

"Where law ends, tyranny begins."

The president can't just demand $9 billion from Harvard because he feels like it.

If we let power go unchecked, it won’t stop asking. It’ll keep taking. Again and again.

Harvard is facing an existential crisis. The Trump administration is blackmailing them and need a community that's willing to stand with them and that's willing to fight.

This is a battle for the soul of Harvard.

Urgent: The Harvard board flew to Cambridge weekend presumably to decide if they’ll capitulate to Trump. Working on a full-throated response.

Anyone willing to help connect with / organize Harvard faculty, students or others interested in an impromptu demonstration this Saturday?

Good political news right now feels hard to find, but this is huge for our city. Really hoping that this can move the needle.
I can’t believe it - after years of advocacy, exclusionary zoning has ended in Cambridge.

We just passed the single most comprehensive rezoning in the US—legalizing multifamily housing up to 6 stories citywide in a Paris style

Here’s the details 🧵

May also be the case with AF3 & Boltz-1, but haven't verified

I feel like I’m back in the spring of 2020, bargaining with myself that I can check the news again if I just edit two more sub-aims of this grant application. Except in 2020 I was reasonably confident that the grant organizations would still exist at the point of the deadlines.
