@hollygodarkly.wandering.shop.ap.brid.gy Not sure if this is the best way to tell you, but there’s audio from before the session overlapping the session audio in the most recent TPK. It starts around 3:55, and was ongoing until 5:00ish.

Sorry if I’m one of a bunch of people bugging you!

Here’s what the goal looked like from a TV in the press box.

Came off the first corner kick of the match.

I can’t believe that Fishel’s first game with the Reign won’t be broadcast.

We reported on this a few days ago, but I want to point out this headline because this is where we are at.

A bill in Arkansas would ban gender affirming HAIRCUTS for transgender youth.

HAIRCUTS.

This is a straight up North Korea state sanctioned hairstyle proposed law for youth.
GOP bill could ban hairdressers from giving gender-nonconforming haircuts to minors - LGBTQ Nation
The bill would allow anyone to sue someone who affirms a young person's transition, and it specifically mentions hairstyles.

I started listening to the Crash Course Pods: The Universe series by @astrokatie.com and it’s brought me so much joy in the midst of a dark time in our world.

Learning about what cosmologists have figured out about the universe’s history is awe inspiring and she is such an extraordinary educator.

On Feb. 27, homeless people were turned away from the polls. There's a pervasive assumption that homeless people don't vote or understand politics — both of which are patently untrue. Elections Ontario must revise its process for people with no fixed address. www.thestar.com/news/gta/hom...
Homeless voters struggled with ‘taxing’ Ontario ID requirements
Elections Ontario has a process in place to allow homeless people living without a fixed address to vote, but many struggle to navigate it.

“In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.”
Finland ends homelessness and provides shelter for all in need - scoop.me
In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Why? The country applies the "Housing First" concept agains homelessness.

We are SO FUCKED if this is what passes for journalism right now. No "other side" comments from human rights groups, migrant justice orgs. Nothing to give them humanity. One of them died and we're like ... well, he did a border incursion, what do you expect?

The second, a CTV journalist used terms like the family was "handed over" to CBSA. A family, ill dressed for the cold, including 5 kids (who they call "youths" rather than children) and just passed from one group's hands to another like some merchandise would be.

There is so little humanity in these stories. In the first case, we are told that cops chased a guy down, threw out something like a spike belt, the guy fled on foot and then ... shot himself.

Does that seem like a reasonable explanation of events? It's sole-sourced from the cops, of course.

Yesterday, media reported that there were "border incursions" at the Coutts border crossing. The language in the reporting was suspicious, and intended to ellicit our sympathy for hard working cops.

Even though one person was killed and 9 people were a family, including 5 children, who crossed.

I remember when we used to chant ‘a better world is possible’ at rallies.

Feels like we became so focused on countering cruelty that we forgot to dream.

UBI, Open Borders and Prison abolition might still sound too far fetched but if we never demand it it’s never going to happen.

This is grossly irresponsible reporting by the AP. What’s being offered is not a buyout. The deal is if you agree to resign in September you can continue working remotely until then. There is no buyout or severance.

when you have anti-DEI proponents openly going after black military officers for recruiting from HBCUs and suing schools for their black and Hispanic enrollment *even after the schools ended any racial preferences* then the only honest label for these people is "segregationist"
I genuinely think we should start calling businesses and schools falling to the anti-DEI movement “segregationists” because they are re-segregating. And earlier rounds of segregationists *also* explained their preferred policy in race-neutral terms (“state’s rights” and “freedom of association”).
