On the bright side, the next Democratic president can just disappear the six conservatives and get a whole new SCOTUS.
according to conservatives on the court, the constitution does not protect your right to your own body but does enable the government to ship you off to a foreign gulag without any hope of return
NEW: The Supreme Court's conservatives halt a preliminary injunction that had restricted the Trump administration's ability to rapidly deport migrants to "third countries" where they have never lived and where allegedly face torture. All three liberals dissent. www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/24p...

The story of the United Fruit Company and its spiritual successors would get an editorial note that it was too unrealistic if you tried to put it in fiction, seriously
Also if you didn’t know the fruit companies are evil: the fruit companies are evil.

“In today’s tech sector, burnout isn’t a bug — it’s a feature. And beneath the glossy facade of “workplace innovation”, the only metric that truly matters is the stock price.

But let’s get one thing clear: employee-centricity was always more marketing than mission.”
In tech, when things get tight, culture dies first
As burnout increases for tech sector workers it's becoming clear that employee-centricity was always more marketing than mission

I need someone to explain to me why there’s no high power lawyer anime. They would settle all disagreements with a mock trial.

Unrelated I’m watching Suits.

NEW from Bill Kristol: "When Democrats go to their home districts next week, don't talk about the Republican budget or tax cuts. Talk about the Republican anti-health care agenda" and "describe this administration and Congress as carrying out the biggest assault ever on American health care."
The Republican Party’s Populist Betrayal
The GOP’s budget bill exposes Trump’s ‘working-class party’ rhetoric as phony. It also gives Democrats a massive health care opportunity.

I’d just like to remind people that while MAGA Republicans are yelling about Joe Biden’s Cancer - they’re distracting you from the fact that they’re denying access to cancer treatment for 9/11 first responders.

This is America.

What ever happened to these Republican weirdos loving small governments and state’s rights?
This is insane. Republicans have inserted language into the budget reconciliation bill that would ban states from regulating AI in any capacity for 10 years.

Trump is a result of Reagan. Both Bush Presidents benefited from the moral and ethical bankruptcy that Reagan built his presidency on.

Trump managed to up the ante on them by harnessing Reagan’s ability to convince people to oppose their own best interest and transfer their wealth and power to him.
Trump is a lifelong liar, but I've been struck by how the strategy behind the "Tren de Aragua" lie resembles Bush's "weapons of mass destruction" lie.

Trump's sociopathy plugs into decades of GOP degradation.

But it's also not working as well.

Yes. One of these things matters more than the other, but I was hopeful I could at least disassociate by watching the game for a while.

To save runaways from slavery who were trying to make lives in the North “illegally,” local Vigilance Committees formed. They kept watch for slave catchers, secreted away those in danger, and posted placards that outed slave catchers, sometimes hounding them till they left town.
A group in San Diego is patrolling neighborhoods to identify potential ICE presence. They keep watch for vehicles that may belong to federal agencies, and use livestreams, radios, and social media to keep communities informed.

Toni Storm is the best thing pro wrestling. Only other gimmick that comes close is Harley Cameron, and it’s only a matter of time till they have a program together.
I feel like more queer people need to know that the best thing in professional wrestling right now is a bisexual woman playing the role of a delusional 1950s moviestar who will shout "I am here and I am queer" on national TV

Does anyone happen to Mariya Strauss and have a way to contact her? The Emmers were really important to me and I would love the opportunity to ask her a few questions.
