How does an adult verifying their age keep children safe? How does an adult using a VPN make children less safe? Did anyone ask these obvious follow-up questions of the minister here or did they just let it slide?

Always surreal to hold a copy of the first ever PSX game released - JPN Ridge Racer.
Released alongside the console itself on Dec 3rd 1994, it's still just as addictive a game as it ever was. Only a single track but one so busy with lovely little details and character.

Worth reading. For Triangle Agency, I've started directly asking localizers whether they use AI/LLM at any part of their process for any work, even if they won't in ours, and refusing to deal with them if they do. I recommend you do the same!
Since 2023, translators and interpreters have seen work dry up, rates plummet and their jobs reduced to editing AI-generated output. Some are leaving the field, others are considering bankruptcy. All despite any major upgrade in translation quality.

The maddest someone has ever gotten at me was when I talked about the child sized manacles Jefferson had at Monticello for 9 year old children. They could not cope with the idea that a child the same age as their child had been enslaved. And it made them angry that I made them know facts
Chattel slavery was so bad that when we tell you how bad it in fact was most of y'all shut down and tell us we're making it up and pass laws against us ever telling you how bad it was again because your brains literally cannot handle how bad it in fact was.
"How bad slavery was" is worse. Much worse. Much worse than you think, much worse than you're taught, much worse than museums depict. Worse.
