Yikes indeed!

Imagine if Congress were to legislate into existence a part of the government to manage these systems and risks and ensure hiring and retention of expert staffing for such an agency...
Yikes.
Politico is reporting that the breach at the Congressional Budget Office is "ongoing."

“Do NOT click on any links in emails from CBO. Do NOT share sensitive information with CBO colleagues over email, Microsoft Teams, or Zoom at this time,” the email to CBO staff reads.

This sound should give pause to the ICE/CBP new hires, the police/natguard/mil types “just following orders”, the judges and elected/appointed officials who have abandoned the Constitution and rule of law. But let’s be real. It probably won’t yet. This sound must keep getting louder.

There is no shutdown. We are just learning to see the new operating model.
The FBI director is flying his girlfriend around on private government planes while FBI agents go without paychecks and families prepare to go hungry as SNAP benefits are being suspended
Patel's girlfriend performed at Penn State last weekend. A government jet arrived at State College Regional Airport, according to its FAA registration, with an address listing the FBI HQ. The plane then flew to Nashville, where his girlfriend lives.

All on the taxpayer’s dime.

IMPORTANT: The Dutch invest €595 million annually on urban biking, resulting in €19 BILLION saved in public health care costs alone. That’s how smart governments do the math on investing in better mobility.

Let’s be clear— it wastes public money to NOT do it.

Add to the list of the fascinating points around getting fired from federal government service in February, them then deciding they didn’t fire me, also not allowing me to work, and continuing to pay me: The latest (pay period 20) check direct deposited into my bank account last night.

Something maybe worth noting is that all the frog costumes and signs and good-natured memeing came about because a wide spectrum of Americans saw someone in direct, brave confrontation with ICE—getting pepperballed and standing their ground—and thought “that’s awesome. That person is a hero”

Dearest Martha,

Confined to bed of a morning where rain shrouds this war ravaged Portland. Well before dawn our premises was invaded by weekly milk delivery service. After making a latte and beginning to sip it under a blanket, an animal of feline disposition detained me. Movement now ill advised.

Portland is the same or worse they’re saying. And yet I have lived and worked in Portland for over two decades and somehow I have been assaulted less often than Rand Paul in his own neighborhood by his own neighbors.
Rand Paul: "Chicago is a nightmare. It is literally a war zone."

Dearest Martha,

It is with trepidation that I look upon the coming day in this war ravaged Portland. I fear today’s planned actions will inevitably require more than one trip to The Home Depot. The chicken coop door shall bend to the power of regular maintenance. Fear must not prevail.

Dearest Martha,

Today I laboriously traversed war ravaged Portland in an valiant effort to attend a backyard homebrewfest. Having tendered a keg of mine own fresh hopped hard apple cider, twas decided we would make for the public stadium to observe enemy movements. Our defenses allowed two goals.
